Our Story
Jenela May Cachero, Founder
also known as Jenela in Japan
Long before Amèla, Jenela's life had already been shaped by care.
A registered nurse from the Philippines, she moved to Japan and worked as a care worker, building a life far from home while sharing pieces of her everyday journey online. What began as simple glimpses into life abroad eventually became Jenela in Japan, a community that grew alongside her dreams, her family, and the many chapters that followed.
Her journey eventually brought her home to the Philippines. By then, life had taken on a new meaning. Career, family, entrepreneurship, and motherhood began to exist side by side, bringing with them a different appreciation for the small things that can make everyday life feel lighter.
That perspective became part of Amèla.
The brand reflects a belief that Filipino parents deserve products that understand the realities of their days, pieces that offer thoughtful function, considered design, and comfort at a price that feels within reach.
