Accessibility

Last updated: 1 October 2026.

Amèla is committed to making our website welcoming and usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. Accessibility sits alongside the care we put into everything we make.

Our Commitment

We want every visitor to be able to browse the collection, read about our pieces, and place an order with ease. We treat accessibility as part of the quality of the site, not an afterthought, and we work to improve it as the site grows.

Conformance

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These internationally recognised guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities.

We work toward this standard across the site, though some areas may not yet fully meet it. Where we find a shortfall, we treat it as something to put right.

Measures We Take

  • Clear, consistent navigation and a readable, high-contrast type system.
  • Semantic HTML structure with headings and landmarks for assistive technology.
  • Keyboard access to interactive elements, with visible focus states.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful imagery.
  • Respect for your system preference to reduce motion.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we add to the collection and refine the site, we review new and existing pages and work to resolve the issues we find. We also learn a great deal from the people who use the site, and we take that feedback seriously.

Feedback

If you encounter any difficulty using our website, or have a suggestion to help us improve, we would genuinely like to hear from you. Write to us at support@amela.com and, where you can, describe the page and the difficulty along with the browser or device you were using.

We will do our best to respond promptly, resolve the issue, and provide the information or assistance you need in another way in the meantime.
